Bruce Mills

Mr. Mills relocated to Idaho in 2017 along with his wife, Carlene, his son, daughter-in-law and his 3 grandchildren. Bruce started playing trumpet in elementary school, eventually graduating from the University of Redlands with a degree in Music Education. His musical career led him to become principle trumpet of the North Coast Symphony Orchestra in San Diego, CA for almost 10 years where he also performed as a soloist on various occasions, performing the Haydn Trumpet Concerto, the Hummel Trumpet Concerto, the Vivaldi Concerto for two Trumpets and the Marcello Oboe concerto (on Piccolo Trumpet). He has also has performed with the La Jolla Symphony, the Southern California Philharmonic and the Golden West Pops concert band, amongst many other organizations before retiring to Idaho.
Locally, he currently is a member of the Canyon County Symphony, the Serenata Orchestra, the Treasure Valley Concert Band, the Boise Community Band and the Caldwell Centennial Band. In addition to playing the Trumpet, Bruce focused on Choral music during his lifetime, directing the choirs at various churches as well as performing as a soloist in various musicals over the years.
Mr. Mills chose a different path for his professional career after receiving his MBA in Finance from California State University San Bernardino, CA. He has retired from a 35 year career in banking, having held several roles including Director, President, CEO, COO and CFO of several community banks in southern California, two of which were publicly traded.
In addition, Mr. Mills has served on several boards of directors including the Canyon County Symphony, Rotary Club of Boise Downtown, the Dean’s Council for the California Lutheran University School of Management, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Western Independent Banker’s Worker’s Comp Insurance Group, Director of the Boy Scouts of America Los Angeles Council and served as Chairman of the Fallbrook Community Hospital Board of Directors.
Mr. Mills continues to consult in the banking community from time to time, but is primarily focused on his new profession as a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Boise.
