Canyon County Flute Choir Audition Information
Anyone interested in playing with the flute choir is asked to complete a short application and submit a short video audition no later than August 31st. All needed information is found in the application.
Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings at 7pm at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, 608 14th Ave N, Nampa, and will begin September 2024.

Hannah Leonora Bailey picked up the flute at the age of 9 and never hesitated to pursue a future in music. Her first teachers Mary Kemnec and Emily Reynolds taught her to embrace the learning process through positive encouragement that has served as a model for her own teaching methods.
She discovered her passion for performing and teaching at Northern California Flute Camp where she attended as a student then continued to work on staff for six years. Hannah studied with Gary Woodward at Azusa Pacific University, earning her Bachelor of Music in Performance in 2016 and Artist Certificate in 2018. After moving to Boise with her husband Manny in 2018, Hannah studied with Dr. Nicole Molumby at Boise State University and received her Masters of Music in Performance in 2020.
During the 2016/2017 season, Hannah served as the principal flute with the Orange County Symphony, which included a featured performance as a soloist on the complete Brandenburg Concerti. In the summer of 2017, she traveled to Zhengzhou, China and performed as principal with the Yellow River Symphony. She can even be heard on Sean Gabel’s album “Sounds of Christmas.” She has adjudicated a number of competitions including the Marker and Pioneer International Music Competition and annually for the TVMTA Bach Festival and Competition. Locally, Hannah has subbed with the Meridian Symphony, Canyon County Symphony, and Boise Baroque Orchestra and will play “Into the Woods” at the 2024 Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
Hannah recently recorded the premiere performance of “Tetra” for solo flute by Taylor Ross which can be found on her website at hannahleonora.com. Hannah is currently the director of the Canyon County Flute Choir and she performs as often as she can while she continues to pursue her love of teaching through her studio with locations in both Boise and Nampa, now usually joined by her daughter Leonora.
