CCYS Brass Audition Materials

All Brass:

• 1 major and 1 melodic minor scale of musicians choice. 2 octaves preferred.
• Chromatic scale starting on the note of your choice. 1 octave.
• Two contrasting movements (one slow, one fast) from the same work, or two contrasting works. Each excerpt should be no more than 2 minutes in length.
• At the audition you will be asked to play some long tones
• You will be asked to sight read as well.
